The KARO cinema chain organizes free screenings in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Krasnodar
On March 12 and 13, in four cities of Russia it will be possible to watch films that once debuted at the international festival “Spirit of Fire” for free. The KARO cinema chain will show six films, including both festival winners that have already become classics of Russian cinema, and new films that were discovered by the Spirit of Fire in the last few years.
Viewers will see the legendary “Boomer” by Pyotr Buslov, which won the main prize of the festival in 2003, the film “The Italian” by Andrei Kravchuk, which received the Audience Award in 2006, “Niche” by Anton Ermolin and “Knots” by Oleg Khamokov, awarded special prizes in 2023 . Also shown will be films that participated in the Work-in-Progress program last year: “Octopus,” which was selected for the Vyborg Film Festival and then successfully launched on four online platforms, and “Pravda,” which was included in the competition of the short film festival and debut film "In Short".
“When you watch a film together in a cinema hall, joint empathy is born - a lot of emotions await you. This is not at all the same as watching a movie at home in an armchair,” notes the President of the Spirit of Fire festival, director Emir Kusturica.
This year, the Spirit of Fire festival will be held from March 23 to 26 in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Admission to film screenings will be free, with pre-registration: https://spirit-of-fire.timepad.ru/events/. Limited number of seats.
