Anyone can participate, both individually and in a group. In addition, there is a special children’s category. To participate, it is only necessary to fill out an application in the Microfilm Contest section by March 4, 2024. Works in MP4 and MOV format, up to three minutes, and corresponding to the Family Values theme are accepted. You can apply both in Russian and in English.
From March 4 to 11, 2024, the Selection Committee will select up to 20 nominees in the main category and up to 20 nominees in a special children’s category for participation in the next stage – public online voting.
On March 15, 2024, all competitive works will be published on the Spirit of Fire Film Festival website. The audience will choose the winner. The open online voting for the best microfilm dedicated to families will be held until March 20, 2024. The Expert Council will also select its favorite.
The winners of the microfilm contest will traditionally be awarded at the opening ceremony of the 22nd Spirit of Fire International Debut Film Festival on March 23, 2024.
The festival has been held with the unwavering support of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation since 2002. Gazprom Neft has been the general partner of the Spirit of Fire since 2007. Along with support for the film festival, the company annually participates in developing the cultural program and awards the best Russian film in the special nomination “For the Preservation of Cultural Traditions”. The Roscongress Foundation acts as the Festival communication partner.
