MAXIM ARBUGAEV
Born in 1991 in the village of Tiksi, Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 2018 he graduated from VGIK (workshop of S. Miroshnichenko). Documentary director, cameraman. Prize-winner of the Sundance Film Festival and the MIFF Documentary Film Competition for the film Genesis 2.0 (2018). The film “Exit,” which he shot together with his sister Evgenia Arbugaeva, won numerous awards, became one of the most famous documentaries of last year and was nominated for an Oscar in the category “Best Short Documentary” this year.
MAXIM ARBUGAEV
Born in 1991 in the village of Tiksi, Yakut Republic, USSR. In 2018 graduated from VGIK (class of S. Miroshnichenko) Documentary director, cinematographer. EVGENIYA ARBUGAEVA
Born in the village of Tiksi, Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 2009 she completed a documentary photography course at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. Lives and works in London. Famous documentary photographer, author of a portrait of Greta Thunberg for Time magazine, photo reports for National Geographic, The New Yorker and other publications. Her work has received several awards and has been exhibited at major international venues. "Exit" is her first film.
EVGENIA ARBUGAEVA
Born in the village of Tiksi, Yakut Republic, USSR. In 2009 completed her studies of documentary photography at the ICP in New York. Lives and works in London. A prominent photo-documentary artist, author of Greta Thunberg's portrait for “Time” magazine, of picture stories for National Geographic, The New Yorker and other editions.
