Multimedia exhibition “Artists inspired by the Arctic. Artists Born by the North”.
MARCH 3-6, YUGRA-CLASSIC CONCERT AND THEATRE CENTRE, KHANTY-MANSIYSK CULTURAL PROGRAM
A multimedia exhibition “Artists inspired by the Arctic. Artists born by the North” will be held at the “Yugra-Classic” concert centre during the festival “The Spirit of Fire”. The exhibition is part of the audio-visual project “The Soul of Russia. The North”, associated with Russia’s chairmanship in the Arctic Council in 2021-2023.
By means of multimedia and special sound design viewers have an opportunity to get to know the works of outstanding artists – founders of the Arctic school of painting, such as Alexander Borisov, Konstantin Pankov, and Tyko Vylka, as well as to trace the influence of the cultural and historical heritage of the indigenous peoples of the North on the works of Vasily Kandinsky, Gennady Raishev and Galina Vizel.
