Russian Competition

For a long time, the Russian debut program developed on the sidelines of the Spirit of Fire main event, the international competition.

 Year after year, we saw how the festival audience grew more and more interested in the Russian cinema and first films of promising young directors. So it was natural to establish a Russian debut competition in its own right. It presents no fewer than six feature films, each one a director's first work. In 2023 the Russian competition included six films.
