Quiet and well-mannered Vitaly, having moved from Serpukhov to Moscow, is trying to start life from scratch. But he comes across only crazy people on his way. His neighbor on the landing turns out to be the eccentric schoolgirl Christina, at his new job he is attacked by the annoying boss Marina Vasilievna, and his psychologist friend Pavel, who helps him cope with all this, turns out to be a sadomasochist. Compared to them, Vitaly seems to be the only adequate person.

Received five prizes at the Window to Europe festival, including the Grand Prix, participated in the Sputnik auteur film festival (Poland), and was successfully shown at the box office. In 2020, a sequel, “Inadequate People 2,” was released.
Born in 1984 in Ufa, he began his career making short films and trailers for the BBC and other English TV channels. He made his debut in Russia with several short films and the documentary “Profession: Comedian.” After the comedy “Inadequate People,” he made feature films “Shattered,” “Black Water,” “Walk, Vasya,” and “Breath.”
