On March 3, 2023 Khanty-Mansiysk will host the XXI International Debut Film Festival “The Spirit of Fire” that, as custom has it, will showcase the best films of directors from Russia and 16 other countries.

This year the festival theme is Indigenous Peoples of the World.

The festival guests will see a rich program of cultural and educational activities: films in and out of competition, lectures, presentations and performances. Since 2002 the festival has enjoyed continued support of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra Government.

The cultural program of “The Spirit of Fire” has been prepared with the help of the festival general partner, the “Gazprom Neft” company that has been supporting the festival for 17 years. In 2023 the company, as always, will award the best Russian film “for preservation of cultural traditions”. The Roscongress Foundation is the festival’s communication partner.
