Born in the Indian city of Darbhanga, where the shooting of his debut feature film “On Both Sides of the Pond” took place. Having received an engineering degree, he became disillusioned with the profession and decided to study directing at the Whistling Woods Institute in Mumbai. While studying, he made a short documentary about the architecture of a small village in Xinjiang for the Chinese youth project Looking China. This contributed to the creation of his first screenplay, Village Temple, which was selected for the 2017 NFDC Screenwriting Lab. He also contributed to the scripts of Achal Mishra's Dhuin and Anubhav Sinha's The Crowd.
