The 23rd International Debut Film Festival “Spirit of Fire” announces a call for applications and invites aspiring directors from all over the world to take part in the film festival.
Participants must fill out a special form and send it to the film festival email address by January 19, 2025. ugrafest@yandex.ru.
The festival will take place from 5 to 9 March 2025 years in Khanty-Mansiysk.

Requirements for films to participate:
• must be the director’s first or second full-length work in the field of feature films (for international competition);
• must be the director’s first full-length work in the field of feature films (for the Russian competition);
• the duration of a feature film in the short film category should not exceed 30 minutes;
• the film in each nomination must be completed no earlier than November 1, 2023;
• a film participating in the international competition must not have previously been publicly shown on the territory of the Russian Federation;
• preference is given to films in DCP format in the original language with English subtitles, if the original language is not English;
• participation of a film in an international competition requires the presence of a director and/or an actor playing the leading role.
Based on the results of the selection committee's work, no less than six full-length films will be selected, both in the international (main) competition and in the Russian one. No more than 18 works will participate in the short film nomination.
