The film's protagonists are four friends engaged in semi-criminal business, although they are not known for serious crimes. But only until, through the fault of one of them - Dimon - the friends get involved in a showdown, which results in the death of an operative. The friends are put on the wanted list. To avoid arrest, the guys steal a "boomer" and go to a remote town. But the friends fail to get to their destination safely: their nerves are on edge, and this constantly provokes them to conflicts - either with bandits or with truck drivers. Grand Prize "Golden Taiga" of the second festival in 2004. In 2003, it was successfully released (re-released in 2022), since 2004 it has been repeatedly shown on television, received a sequel ("Бумер-2", 2006), became the basis of a computer game (2003). Awarded the "Nika" award, participated in the "Window to Europe" festival and the Moscow Film Festival.

The Italian

Six-year-old Vanya, a child from an orphanage, is about to be adopted by an Italian family – hence his nickname "The Italian". A carefree life under the Mediterranean sun awaits him, but the boy wants to find his own mother at all costs. Audience Award "Golden Taiga" (main prize of the Russian competition) and prizes to actors Nikolai Spiridonov ("Crystal Leonov") and Maria Spiridonova (special jury prize) in 2006. The film was nominated by Russia for the Oscar. The film participated in the Berlin International Film Festival, festivals in Taipei (Taiwan), Chicago and Telluride (USA), Toronto and Sudbury (Canada), Morelia (Mexico) and others - the lead actor Nikolai Spiridonov received several awards. In addition to Russia, the film was released in a limited release in many European countries.

Quiet and well-mannered Vitaly, having moved from Serpukhov to Moscow, tries to start life from scratch. But he encounters only madmen on his way. His neighbor on the landing turns out to be a flighty schoolgirl Kristina, at his new job he is attacked by an annoying boss Marina Vasilyevna, his psychologist friend Pavel, who helps him cope with all this, turns out to be a sadomasochist. Against their background, Vitaly seems to be the only adequate person. The Audience Award "Golden Taiga" (the main prize of the Russian competition) in 2012. He received five prizes at the Window to Europe festival, including the Grand Prix, participated in the Sputnik festival of auteur cinema (Poland), and was successfully shown in distribution. In 2020, the sequel was released - "Неадекватные люди-2".
