A film-portrait of a sacred place for Yakutia — Kharama Khayata — and its residents who are trying to preserve the heritage of their ancestors, through legends and oral folk art to instill a love and respect for the unique Yakut culture. Will they manage to keep their sacred mountain and own history?

Born in 1983 in Amga village, Yakut Republic of the USSR. Independent film director, screenwriter, producer. Actively involved in film production and promoting indigenous cinema around the world. His films were at the Rotterdam IFF, Busan IFF, Moscow IFF, Warsaw IFF, Cottbus IFF, Palm Springs IFF, and more than 50 different film festivals and got numerous awards. Member of the Asia Pacific Screen Academy. His filmography also includes «Bonfire» (2016), «No God But Me» (2019), «Scarecrow» (2020), «Youth» (2023), «Plague» (2024).
