DMITRY VOROBYOV
Born in 1961 in the Chita region, USSR. He graduated from the Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute, the Ural GoldPlatinum Institute, and the International School of Business (USIB). Worked at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio. Since 2005 – producer at the February 29 Film Company. His filmography also includes “Apnea” (1992, short), “Housekeeper and the Lace Maker” (1995), “Gosha and Angels” (2008, doc.), “White Bird” (2011, doc.), “Football for Adults” (2015, doc.), “Valka” (2017, doc.).
LIDA KANASHOVA
Scriptwriter and director. Graduated from the Ural State University, got a degree in cultural journalism at the PRO ARTE Institute of Contemporary Art in St. Petersburg. She also studied screenwriting and film studies at VGIK. Together with D.Vorobyov, she directed the documentary film “Valka” (2017), awarded at the “Russia” Documentary Film Festival. Their next mutual work “Adventures of a Real Samurai in the World of Disasters”, won the Message to Man IFF prize in 2025.
