TICKLEMAN
A mysterious puppeteer comes to an ordinary school and in one and the same performance turns theassembly hall into a live fairy tale. The boy, caught between his classmates’ ridicules and indifference of adults, accidentally finds himself on the stage and goes on a magical journey with dragons, dwarfs and a princess. To return he will have to become a knight and defeat not a monster, but his own fear.

Born in 1973. He graduated from the Samara State Pedagogical University with a degree in theater and world art culture. He started his career as a production designer in theatre, and since 2004 he has been working in cinema. Teaches at GITR, at Mosfilm, lectures at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors, at the Higher School of Economics and at the Moscow Film School. Chief designer of the Moskino Cinema Park. Author of the book “Film Set” about the profession of a production designer. Winner of the Golden Eagle, Nika, White Elephant and film festival awards. Production designer of films “The Horde”, “Anna Karenina: Vronsky’s Story”, “Captain Volkonogov Escaped”, “North Wind”, “Evil City”, “The Flying Ship”, “Khitrovka. The Sign of Four” and many others. “Tickleman” is his directorial debut.
