NINA’S DREAMS
Nina was born in a small Sami village on the North peninsula. The girl grows up in a place with ancient history.Before coming of age, Nina feels changes in the world around her, and in order to prevent disasters in thevillage, she should undergo an ancient initiation ritual. The film is dedicated to finding of petroglyphs on theKola Peninsula by archaeologist Nina Gurina and to all women discoverers.

Film director and scriptwriter. Born in Murmansk. Got diploma of a design engineer, also she finished the Higher School for Film Directors and Scriptwriters at Lenfilm Studio. Played on stage for 12 years, staged the play “The Cherry Orchard” and continued to direct films. Participant in and winner of national and international film festivals. Her works are inspired by northern culture and folk myths, and dedicated to such subjects as finding identity, overcoming boundaries and confronting the past with the present. Her filmography also includes the short films “Monster”, “Life/Love”, “Breath of Youth” (2021), “Shadow in Stone” (2022), “When a Sailor is Ashore” (2024), and the documentary “A Woman with a Movie Camera” (2025).
