In the Mountains. He
Albert and Eldar are members of a music label engaged in preserving folk music traditions. Their new mission takes them to a mountain village to record the last performer of an old Kabardian song. In the village they learn that the old man has gone into the mountains to die. This message marks the start of a journey, both the outer through hard country, and inner, that of overcoming, of meeting traditions, quietness and oneself.

Born in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, USSR. Since he was a boy he dreamt of making movies. His first job was the one at a puppet theatre, where he worked as an actor for several years. Then he found work at the republican TV as a cameraman. He got his higher education in Krasnodar and then moved to Moscow, where he finished the Moscow School of New Cinema. In 2025, his feature debut "In the Mountains. She" was released. "In the Mountains. He" is his second directorial work. These two titles are not only a play on words but a direct hint at the dialogue between the two movies.
