Born in Moscow in 1969. In 1993 he graduated from the Faculty of Automation and Telemechanics of the Moscow Institute of Railway Transport Engineers. He worked on television as a program director and editing director, and won the TEFI award for the documentary television films “Living Pushkin” (2000) and “To Kill Kennedy” (2003).
Winner of the Golden Eagle Award for his work on the film “Going Vertical” (Dvizhenie vverkh) (2017), which became the leader of the Russian box office upon release and received many positive reviews from critics.
His new film “Heart of Parma” (Serdtse parmy) (2022) was a success in wide release and was awarded 4 Golden Eagle awards. His other feature film directorial works include “Shadowboxing 2: Revenge” (Boy s ten'yu 2: Revansh) (2007), “Dark World” (Temnyy mir) (2010), “Metro” (2012), “Yolki 3” (2013), “Former. Happy End” (Byvshiye. Happy End) (2022), etc.
