Maksim Dunaevsky
Composer, People's Artist of Russia (2006). Professor at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, artistic director of the Moscow Regional Philharmonic (since 2015), president of the festival and award "Musical Heart of the Theater" (since 2021). In 1965 he graduated from the music school at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, in 1970 – the Moscow State Conservatory in composition. During his student years, he was the musical director of the MSU theater studio "Our House". In 1974, the musical "The Three Musketeers" based on the play by Mark Rozovsky and Yuri Ryashentsev was released at the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators, which later became a film that brought the author of the music immense popularity and national love. His music is featured in 75 films and more than thirty plays and musicals, including "Avtomobil', skripka i sobaka Klyaksa" (1975), "Akh, vodevil', vodevil'" (1979), "Karnaval" (1981), "Trest, kotoryy lopnul" (1982), "Zelenyy furgon" (1983), "Mэри Poppins, do svidaniya" (1983), "Lovushka dlya odinokogo muzhchiny" (1990), in the animated films "Letuchiy korabl'" (1979), "Pif-paf, oy-oy-oy!" (1980), "Koshkin dom" (1982) and others. He has released about twenty solo albums. He also writes academic music. He was awarded the Order of Honour (2019).
